Annual Salary and Benefits Survey
Exclusively available to LGPA members, we sponsor the only comprehensive public sector compensation and benefits survey in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan region. More than 100 job titles are surveyed throughout MD, DC and VA covering five job groups: Executive, Professional, Trades, Clerical and Public Safety. In addition, comprehensive and detailed information on a wide range of compensation, benefits and other human capital practices are surveyed including: wage adjustments, pay plan progression, premium pay, life and health insurance, leave, overtime, retirement plans, other post-employment benefits, collective bargaining, turnover and more.
Member Directory
Registered employees of Organization Members have access to an online member directory. This exclusive directory allows HR professionals to connect with the HR professionals at other member organizations for the purposes of obtaining and sharing, networking and collaborating on projects. Contact information is protected and solicitation of any kind is closely monitored and forbidden.
Conferences
Annual conferences are available for members to gain professional development opportunities, network with colleagues and engage with experts in the field of human resources management. It is a great opportunity to share information and gain valuable knowledge from top industry professionals. Most programs are eligible for recertification credits from the major professional associations.
Professional Awards Program
This annual program is designed to commend the "best and brightest" HR professionals among our members. This is a wonderful opportunity to applaud those outstanding individuals whose efforts create a positive and effective workplace environment. Peer nominations are accepted in the categories of Individual, Team, or Executive of the Year. During this program we also honor those in pursuit of on-going professional development: members that have obtained an HR-related professional certification are recognized for their efforts and commitment to public sector excellence.
Committees
LGPA is passionate and committed to the professional development of our members. By serving on a subcommittee, members gain valuable professional development and networking opportunities while also helping to shape the future of the LGPA. Participation is available on a volunteer basis and welcomed at any time.
